Peter Berg Leads The Kingdom Crew as Director

The Kingdom director Peter Berg is an accomplished film and television director, actor, producer and writer. Berg moved to Los Angeles after graduating from Macalester College with a degree in theater. He began his career in film as a production assistant.

Berg earned his first acting roles in 1986 on CBS’s The Equalizer and Fox’s 21 Jump Street. The Kingdom director landed the role of Dr. Kronk on the series Chicago Hope (CBS). In addition to starring in the series, Berg also wrote, directed and produced several episodes.

The Kingdom director’s other acting credits include Shocker, Never on Tuesday, Miracle Mile, A Midnight Clear, Fire in the Sky, The Last Seduction, The Great White Hype, Collateral and Smokin’ Aces. He also appears in 2007’s Lions for Lambs as Wirey Pink.

Berg is currently director and executive producer of the critically acclaimed NBC series Friday Night Lights. He is also set to direct the upcoming films The Mission, The Losers, John Hancock and Bran Mak Morn.

Michael Mann as Producer of The Kingdom

Michael Mann is one of Hollywood’s most successful and sought after producers. He brings more than 20 years of film experience to the production of Universal Picture’s highly anticipated The Kingdom.

In 2006, Michael Mann produced the big screen adaptation of Miami Vice, which also starred The Kingdom’s Jamie Foxx. He also produced NBC’s Miami Vice television series from 1984-1990.

As one of the hottest television producers of the late eighties and nineties, Mann produced Crime Story, Private Eye, LA Takedown, Drug Wars: The Camerena Story, for which he won an Emmy, and Drug Wars: The Cocaine Cartel.

Mann has also produced a string of hit films including Collateral, Heat, Ali, The Insider and The Aviator. He also produces the upcoming John Hancock and The Few.

Scott Stuber Produces The Kingdom

The Kingdom producer Scott Stuber has enjoyed great success as a blockbuster film producer. Stuber joined the ranks of Universal Pictures’ elite in 1997 as Senior Vice President of Production. In less than a decade, he made his way to Vice Chairman of Worldwide Production. As Universal’s man with the plan, Stuber oversaw Universal’s schedule of film releases.

Stuber has produced a long list of successful films including Volcano, You, Me and Dupree, The Break-up and Dead Silence. In addition to The Kingdom movie, Stuber is set to produce upcoming releases The Better Man, Big Brothers, The Wolf Man, Traveling, The Rucker, Live Bet, Goners and Scott Pilgrim’s Precious Little Life.
